Map of the Turkish Empire The Turkish Empire, London 1626 John SPEED (1552-1629) One of the most decorative maps of the Turkish Empire issued in the 17th Century. The first map of the region published in England, decorated with eight Turkish town plan (Famagusta, Damascus, Cairo, Jerusalem, Constantinople, Rhodes, Alexandria and Ormus) and ten costumed figures and a large cartouche. Size 390 x 510 mm Türk İmparatorluğu Haritası Türk İmparatorluğu, Londra 1626, John SPEED (1552-1629) Türk İmparatorluğu'nun 17. yüzyılda yayınlanmış en dekoratif haritalarından biridir.  Sekiz Türk şehrinin planı, ( Mağusa, Şam, Kahire, Kudüs, İstanbul, Rodos, İskenderiye ve Hürmüz ) on kostümlü figür ve büyük bir kitabe ile süslenmiş 390 x 510 mm boyutlarındaki harita bölgenin İngiltere'de yayınlanan ilk haritasıdır.

Jean Baptiste Vanmour or Van Mour was a Flemish-French painter, remembered for his detailed portrayal of life in the Turkish Empire during the Tulip Era and the rule of Sultan Ahmed Khan III. Map of Turkia and Turkish Empire Turcia Turci Cive Imperii (Turkia and Turkish Empire) 1593 Antwerp, Gerard De Jode (1509–1591). The map of Turkey and Turkish Empire from the 1593 edition of Gerard De Jode's “Speculum Orbis Terrarum” published by his son Cornelis.  The map includes two title cartouches and three sailing ships. Noah's Ark appears on Mount Ararat. Sultan Othman Khan I Sultan Othman Khan the first (1258 – 1326) from Portraits of the Emperors of Turkey - London, 1815 by  John Young. Sultan Selim III commissioned English engraver John Young (1755- 1825) to make a series after portraits of the emperors of Turkey before 1807, but production halted when janissaries assassinated the sultan. Mahmoud II ascended the throne, and John Young resumed work in 1810. This sheet shows the founder of the Ottoman dynasty, Othman (Osman) the first. He reigned from 1299 to 1326 and was said to be a great tactician known for his stern demeanor. Turcici Imperii Descriptio  “Turkish Empire Description”  ORTELIUS Abraham (1527 - 1598), Antwerp 1581   A variation of Ortelius's map of the Turkish Empire from “Theatrum Orbis Terrarum” the first modern atlas of the world with a different cartouche. The map is based upon Gastaldi's wall map of Asia. Includes an ornate cartouche, four sailing vessels and a sea monster in the Black Sea.
